Misshaped or permanently discolored teeth can be corrected by placing veneers on the outside surface of the tooth. Veneers can also be used to close small gaps between teeth.  A veneer is a tooth colored shell made of porcelain or ceramic material that is cemented on the surface of the tooth.  Many times, minimal or no preparation of the tooth is needed for a great looking and feeling veneer.

Just like veneers, Bonding can be used to mask a misshaped or permanently discolored tooth.  In this one appointment process, the tooth is minimally prepared and a composite resin is bonded on the surface of the tooth.
