Kumfer Family Dental Blood Drive
Did you know as recent as July 14th of this year, the Indiana Blood Center was below a one day supply of all blood types. That is an extremely scary thought considering that according to the Red Cross, every 2 seconds in the U.S. someone is in need of blood. Also, the Indiana Blood Center supplies more than 60 hospitals throughout Indiana with their blood supplies. To help with the shortage, Kumfer Family Dental is holding a Blood Drive on September 27th starting at 9 am.

Cancer patients can require several units during their treatment.
A person can donate blood every 56 days or 112 days for double red blood cells (Indiana Blood Center)
A single car accident victim can need up to 100 pints of blood. (American Red Cross)
A person usually donates 1 pint of blood
Less than 10% of the eligible population to give blood, do so during the year (American Red Cross)
