Kumfer Family Dental Celebrates 1 Year!
Today we celebrate our One Year Anniversary at Kumfer Family Dental! I want to take some time to reflect on our first year. When my wife and I starting thinking about opening our own office, we wanted to put together a patient-centric practice. We wanted the patients to feel welcome and at home from the moment they walked in the door and to feel comfortable with the treatment they received. In developing our office from the ground up, we made sure that every decision we made was based on bettering the experience of the patients and the staff.
In our office, our number one goal is to have the patients leaving our office happier and healthier. We focus on putting together a thoughtful treatment plan for each patient, taking into account individual patient concerns and fears and working with them to better their oral and general health. We also strive to make our office convenient and help to fit our patient’s lifestyles. We offer online scheduling so people can make appointments at any time of day so patients don’t have to remember to call during their working hours. Building on our online platform, patients can pay bills online, e-mail me directly, get a copy of their records securely online, as well as learn more about procedures that are planned or that have been completed. We also have televisions in many of our rooms to help pass the time for the patients that may need to have longer appointments.
Along with the patients, I wanted to build an office with a happy and energized staff that wants to improve every day. Our staff is hard working, they keep our office clean and neat as well as running on schedule. Our staff works evenings and weekends, has worked through lunch on more times than I can count and since we opened our doors last June, our average patient wait time to get into a treatment room is less than five minutes! How many offices can say that? Not only does our staff work hard, they have a thirst to improve every day. We focus on keeping up on current technology and techniques with frequent continuing education, lunch and learns and reading through periodic journals. This year alone the staff at Kumfer Family Dental has accumulated over 20 hours of continuing education. We will soon be introducing a page to our website that highlights the courses we are taking as we move through the year.
At the end of year one, I extremely happy about how this office has grown and the work we have done to get the office to where it is today. Looking to the future, I am excited to continue to help our patients and our community improve their oral and general health. Thank you to everyone that has come into our office and Let Us Take Care of Your Smile!
